Goose is in pre-launch preview. These interim terms cover using the site today, including registering your interest. Full terms of service, including payment, cancellation and refund terms, will be published before any Best Friend membership is sold.

Who we are

Goose is operated by Goose (company registration pending). Our registered company name and address will be added here once the company is incorporated. Contact: hello@ourgoose.com.

The parts that will never change

• A Best Friend membership is a paid product, not a charitable donation.
• Membership never grants legal ownership of, or any right to interact with, a dog.
• Rescue partners keep all welfare, veterinary and adoption authority.
• Best Friends get no priority to adopt and no vote on a dog’s care. Follower and Best Friend numbers never decide care.
• Rescue partners receive a share of defined net membership revenue under their signed agreement. Until a figure is finalised it is shown as estimated.

During the pre-launch preview

• The dogs and the rescue on Goose today are clearly labelled demo profiles. They are fictional examples, and no real rescue relationship is implied.
• Nothing is charged. Registering your interest creates no account and no obligation of any kind: it simply lets us contact you about Goose’s launch or, for rescues, the pilot. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
• The planned price is £9.99/month per dog. Memberships open only once a real rescue partner is live, and you will be asked to confirm before anything is charged.
• Features, wording and timings may change before launch. The site may occasionally be unavailable while we build it.

Accounts and comments

• Give accurate details when you register your interest or use an account, and keep any password to yourself.
• Only verified rescues publish posts. Comments are public and moderated: be kind, stay on topic, and don’t share anyone’s private information or claims about a dog’s welfare that aren’t yours to make.
• Rescues and Goose may hide or remove comments, and may suspend accounts that break these rules. Anyone signed in can report a comment.
• Posts, photos and dog profiles belong to the rescues that publish them. Please don’t copy them for other uses without the rescue’s permission.
